Direct Digital Marketing
Direct Digital Marketing (DDM) is a method of reaching a target audience with a direct digital marketing method as opposed to traditional direct marketing that utilises conventional postal addresses. Direct digital marketing uses two distinct methods:
• Email marketing – using email addresses; and
• SMS, text or mobile marketing – using mobile ‘phone numbers.
Technology has forced marketers to adopt new methods of reaching a target audience. With the growing expenses of hard copy mailers, and the ever increasing postal charges, DDM is seen as the future of direct marketing. One great benefit of direct digital marketing is the ability to fairly easily track results and calculate one’s return on investment (ROI) which is likely to be far better than the ROI on a traditional direct marketing campaign.
